I work with adults who feel stagnant in their life and help them to identify and achieve their goals. And sure, you’ve probably heard other coaches say that plenty of times, but none of them are me! I am a professional mirror—mirroring your own words back to you in a way that makes you understand them. I reflect your incoherent ramblings into something that actually makes sense and allows you to move forward with it. 

So, what are the specific ways? 

Life Coaching

We are working together to move your whole life forward. If you’re someone getting off the academia or classical music treadmills, I am so proud of you, and this is perfect for you. Or, if you’re someone who feels scattered due to neurodivergence and you need a way to make it make sense, this is for you too.

Story Coaching

We are working together to understand what story you are trying to tell. If you’re trying to perform some music that makes no sense, this is for you. Or, if you’re trying to get a speech ready for an event or write an article or something that requires you to give your story to everyone, this is for you too. 

Music Coaching

Sure, “lessons” is a term, but coaching is better. Coaching implies I am helping to guide you to a goal rather than me being the holder of all information and only selectively disseminating it so that you stay dependent on me for the rest of your life (sound familiar?). 

I work with you to determine your goals, your persistent issues, your mental blocks, and will guide you towards figuring them out so that you can eventually not need me in the future. (My goal is to get myself out of a job!)

I coach adults of all levels on low brass instruments from fundamentals to expression. 

I coach adults on all instruments to learn expression and musical storytelling. 

I coach composers and aspiring composers to find their own musical voices and learn how to trust it. 

At the core of it all: Music is its own language, and it only exists for an audience. To be successful, you need to present it in a way that makes even the most “illiterate” audience member feel something. I will help you master your tools to do just that.
